Recognizing his mistake, Jonah repented and prayed to God for deliverance. God heard his cries and caused the fish to spit Jonah out onto dry land. Jonah then made his way to Nineveh, where he delivered the message of repentance to the city.
To Jonah's surprise, the people of Nineveh heeded his message and repented of their sins. The king of Nineveh proclaimed a fast and ordered everyone, even the animals, to put on sackcloth and ashes as a sign of their repentance. God saw the sincerity of their hearts and relented from the destruction he had planned for the city.
The story of Nineveh and Jonah serves as a powerful reminder of God's mercy and forgiveness, even for those who have strayed far from his path. It also highlights the importance of obedience and the consequences of disobeying God's commands.

NASA plans tol launch three sounding rockets during the total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024, to study how Earth’s upper atmosphere's affected when the sunlight momentarily dims over a portion of the planet.
The Atmospheric Perturbations around Eclipse Path (APEP) sounding rockets will launch from NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia to study the disturbances in the ionosphere created when the Moon eclipses the Sun. The sounding rockets was previously launched and recovered from White Sands Test Facility in New Mexico, during the October 2023 annular solar eclipse.
